Video: Mendencees Admits He Fears For Yandy Smith’s Life During Protests

The world is changing! After the death of George Floyd, an African-American man who died in a neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, our country has been in civil unrest.

Floyd was handcuffed and lying face down on a city street during an arrest, Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, kept his knee on the right side of Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds; during which Floyd lay unresponsive for over 2 minutes.

Love and Hip Hop star Yandy Smith has joined thousands of protesters around the world to share their thoughts on the injustice that has shown to African -Americans at the hands of racism and police brutality.

In an Instagram post, Yandy’s husband, Mendecees, wrote how he fears for her safety every time she goes out.

“I have to be honest; every time @yandysmith tells me she’s going out to fight, I fear for her life. When I was away, and she was pepper-sprayed I felt helpless, I screamed at her for being out there alone and asked her why would she not think about how I would feel if she was seriously hurt. I understand her passion and her purpose. And I can’t wait for the day I can stand by her side for basic human rights and justice for all.”

Some protests across the country have turned violent combined with looters, making some protesters frustrated with the way they may be taking away from the message.

The couple shared a documented account of their day on their YouTube channel. Watch below
